So if you wanted you can run scratch live and traktor at the same time if required on all 4 channels and have CDJ's and Decks connected if you wanted to go that far. The MP26 has a 'matrix' style input so you can choose upto either Analogue, auxillary (phono if required - by setting the push switch on back of mixer) and each of the 4 channels has a 'Digital' input by the means of using the core audio or asio drivers as the mixer has an inbuilt sound card for both inputs and outputs. The MP26 is not a scratch live or itch mixer, so the use of an SL box (S元 in my case) has to be used. If i also want to record my video set, the audio can be routed from the mixer straight into ME, after configuring the output in Rane's MP26 config software, and then in ME software. I don't use the crossfader as such, as i'm not a scratcher, and i have ME 'Link to Up faders' option in use, and this works fine for me. I've currently got the up faders mapped to channel one for the left deck, and channel 2 for the right deck of ME, i also have the crossfader mapped to the crossfader in ME. The mixer connects straight to computer via USB. I'm now using the Rane MP26 19" Club mixer with mix emergency. This mixer is unable to control both audio and video with the crossfader. Connects via USB and is automatically mapped to Mi圎mergency. Requires a MIDI hub to connect to Mi圎mergency. Connects via 1/8" plug stereo cable to the DN-HC4500, which then connects to your computer via USB. Mixers reported working by Mi圎mergency users:Īllen & Heath Xone:92 (limited MIDI controls)ĭenon DN-X900 (when used with the DN-HC4500) If you're using Serato DJ, the mixers and controllers listed here should be compatible with Mi圎mergency: I'll edit/update this first post with all the info. If the mixer works well with Mi圎mergency (if not, what problems the mixer has). How the mixer connects to your computer (does it need a MIDI hub, or can it be connected via USB).ģ. I'll also post mixers that are MIDI capable that may not work as expected with Mi圎mergency under the "MIXERS THAT ARE NOT RECOMMENDED" title.Ģ. I thought I'd start this discussion due to the number of questions/e-mails I get about this topic. I will photoshop a picture of how i have it mapped out, if u didnt understand.Note: This is not a list of all mixers that will work with Mi圎mergency - only ones that users have tested and reported here. The 7th and 8th row row is back to the loops rolls and this of course will be green, but will be green, but when hit it will flash, signifying that its turned on and that it is in loop roll. the 6th row will orange and that is for setting the cue points. it will be ur cue play points, so the color of this row will be red, and when u hit it, it does nothing. The 5th row will be the same as the the 3rd row. that will be set as a my setting of the cue points. will be the color orange, and too will do nothing but stay that color. Beat Indicator- Shows the current beat position within the sequence. Master Wet/Dry Mix- Controls wet/dry mix for the effect sequencer over the output of Mi圎mergency. it might be hearing the right channel but interpreting. The FX Sequencer view contains the basic controls for sequencing and blending your effect sequences. it should default to all channels, but if this was changed somehow you can easily switch it back to default by sending a value of 16 or higher to MIDI CC102. somehow the 0-coast is not listening to the proper midi channel. Im not buying a mac book or the mixer, so when r u gonna help us pc users, i have the serato box and im waiting for my savior. so if youre sure the adapter is factory, i have only 3 theories. i read several discussions in here, and everyone seems excited very about using mixemergency. Ok Nick, Please dont let us pc users down. The the 3rd row, i want to be one with the color red.when u hit hit hit it. December 2008 edited December 2008 in Mi圎mergency. I love the akai apc40, but it doesnt light up at all, except when u hit a button, it will turn green.Īt the top. I have the akai all midi mappedout to scratch and mix emergency(a video program)
